Creating Transaction Shortcuts

Setup Transaction Shortcuts 

Set up a Transaction Shortcut to save time on entering redundant information for Transaction Types that are frequently used or require lengthy documentation.

  • Transaction Shortcuts may also be color coded to assist with ease of visualization and/or added to the Quick Posting menu to save time.

Setting Up a New Transaction Shortcut


1. Select System Tools > Database Setup > Services & Transactions > Transaction Shortcuts.

2. Select 'New'.

3. Enter Code and Description.

4. Enter Amount if applicable.

5. Enter the Type.

Note: Visit Transaction Types for more information about creating Transaction.
6. Add a Color if desired.



7. Enter Batch Number if desired.

8. Enter Sort Order if desired.

9. Check the checkbox to see the new Transaction Shortcut button on the Quick Posting screen.



10. 'Save.'
